I will keep giving my best till my last breath: Ravindra Jadeja

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to social media to post a heartfelt message after India exited ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with a loss to New Zealand in the semi-final on Wednedsay.

Ravindra Jadeja nearly pulled it off for India in the semi-final against New Zealand at Old Trafford, Manchester.. Jadeja’s valiant knock of 77 from 59 had all the elements to go down as one of the greatest knocks in the history of Indian cricket as he took India closer to the target in a 240-run chase from an improbable situation.

Jadeja joined MS Dhoni at the middle when India were reeling at 92 for 6. The former champions were jolted early in their chase of 240 on the reserve day of the 1st semi-final as New Zealand pacers removed their big three – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul inside the first 4 overs.

Nonetheless, India fought back with their never-say-die attitude, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni who added 106 for the 7th wicket. Jadeja perished while trying to clear the long-off boundary in the 48th over and Dhoni followed his batting partner in the 49th over. India eventually fell short of the target by 48 runs.

Saying that he had learnt the lesson of not giving up till the end by playing the sport for long, Jadeja said: ”Sports has taught me to keep on rising after every fall & never to give up. Can’t thank enough each & every fan who has been my source of inspiration. Thank you for all your support. Keep inspiring & I will give my best till my last breath. Love you all.
